3. What does the CIDESCO examination consist of?

The CIDESCO
exam is an extremely comprehensive and rigorous 2-day
examination, covering both practical work and associated
theory
A) Practical Examination covers:
-
Facial Treatments
(3 hours) - including Skin Analysis, Cleansing Procedures,
Product Ingredients, Facial Massages, Electrical Equipment,
Sanitation, Make-up Application, Tinting, etc.

Body Treatments
(2 hours) – including Body Analysis, Electrical
Treatment, Body Massages, Depilation, etc.

Optional Subject
(45 min) – choice from amongst Manual Lymphatic
Drainage, Cellulite Treatment, Reflexology, etc.
B) Theoretical
Written Examination (1.5 hours) - 100 Multiple Choice
Questions, selected from CIDESCO training material
C) Project /Thesis (2,500 words) - chosen subject
can (but not necessarily) be based on Optional Subject selected

CIDESCO examination and I am unsuccessful in meeting all the
CIDESCO passing requirements?

5. What prerequisites are required to take the Lam School of Advanced
Esthetics’ Post-Graduate Preparatory CIDESCO?

CIDESCO mandates
that applicants for the CIDESCO degree must be either
be:
Category 1) Experienced currently licensed professionals
with Category 1) extensive industry work experience*, or
Category 2) Graduates of an internationally accredited
Category 2) CIDESCO school (with a mandatory 1200 hours
Category 2) of training
following CIDESCO guidelines, etc.)
* For experienced candidates
(Category 1), CIDESCO requires:
i) Evidence of 3 years work as an esthetician
ii) Copies of esthetic diploma or proof of professional
training
iii) Proof of employment, signed by employer or notary
republic
(if self-employed)
iv) Copy of state license
